Mary-Anne works closely with her clients to design the garden they would love to have, but perhaps can’t visualise on their own.
By visiting the site and discussing any likes and dislikes with her clients, Mary-Anne can then draw up the brief, which forms the basis of her designs, and provide a free quotation.
Should the clients decide to proceed with the project, then the following stages ensue:
SURVEY: A survey of the site is carried out to produce a scale drawing of the existing garden on which to base the new design.
DESIGN: Using all of the information gathered, Mary-Anne puts together a design showing the layout, all existing features and outlines the new planting. Following this a further meeting is arranged with the client to discuss any necessary changes.
Often clients would like a full redesign, but wish to implement the garden in phases which are tailored to their own budgetary constraints. This enables them to have their dream garden constructed in more manageable stages.
CONSTRUCTION PLANS: Construction plans are drawn up for the contractor. These plans together with additional specifications will provide the builder with enough information to carry out the work.
SITE SUPERVISION: Mary Anne will monitor the construction of the new garden with regular site visits to ensure that everything is installed correctly and according to plan.
CONSULTATION & PLANTING DESIGN: If you do not wish to have a full redesign and are looking for ways to solve specific problems in your garden you will find a consultation a flexible option in which to ask Mary-Anne for advice. Solutions will be discussed and follow up notes will be given for your reference. You may wish to have just the planting in your garden rejuvenated. If this is the case, a planting plan can be prepared that will include full details of plant names, numbers of plants and their positioning within your garden.
FEES: Fees are calculated on a time basis and according to size, complexity and the location of the site.
